The PG and Research Department of Economics, Erode Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Erode, organized a three-day Student Induction Programme titled “A Foundational Course on Career-Orientation with Growth” from 25th to 27th June 2025 at the college Seminar Hall. The theme — Campus Compass: Ignite, Explore and Propel — aimed to guide new students on building a purpose-driven academic journey and career path.

The programme began with an introduction by Dr. V. Mallika, Head of the Department of Economics, followed by an enlightening introductory address by Dr. N. Mani, Director of the Institute for Social Empowerment and Research, Chennai. The highlight of the event was the address by the Chief Guest, Mr. V.N. Subramaniam, Advocate at the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi, who inspired students with his insights into legal awareness, ethics, and career development.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. R. Sankarasubramanian, Principal, and Dr. R. Venkatachalam, Director of the institution. The entire programme was coordinated by Dr. M. Saravanakumar, Assistant Professor of Economics, who emphasized the importance of such foundational programmes in shaping students’ future endeavors.

The induction served not only to welcome the new batch of students but also to motivate them toward academic excellence and professional success through informed decision-making and goal-setting.
